Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 289 was out and it was all that we expected and more. It was everything we have ever wanted from our favorite anime/manga. It was action-packed and filled with emotion. More than that, we got to see our favorite side of the characters win. Yes, you guessed it right. Escanor defeated Zeldris. Well, not exactly Escanor alone. Escanor and Ludociel came through with the power balances and defeated Meliodas’s brother. But is he even completely defeated? We know Zeldris and this seems a bit hard to imagine. To find the answer to that question we will have to break down and speculate the events of Nanatsu no Taizai chapter 290. But before that, there is a warning for you. It is true what I said earlier even though it seems a bit hard to swallow. But let me tell you what really went down. Zeldris claims that if Escanor was able to defeat Meliodas was sole because Meliodas was playing with him and let him win. Meliodas lost because he was trying to read the opponents moves. Angered at this, Escanor attacks Zeldris with his ax but was not able to penetrate the Ominus Nebula so went for another trick. Escanor went for the “Sacred Sword Escanor” to destroy the technique and fortunately, he succeeded. Just when Escanor was about to land the final death serving blow, Chandler summoned the true night which transformed Escanor to his original form. This is when Zeldris leaves himself open for about 0.8 seconds. Ludociel seizes the opportunity and used his “Flash” on Zeldris. The chapter ends with Zeldris terribly beaten but not unconscious. The text says that he was defeated by Flash and Sun combo.

Now coming to the spoilers for the upcoming chapter. I do not think this fight is going to end here just now. Although Zedris has been beaten, he is not unconscious which means he can and he will fight back. In my opinion, we are in for a roller-coaster ride. We are going to witness something so monstrous and evil from Zeldris that it would leave everyone speechless. Or, he could be well defeated. At this point, anything can happen.
