His backstory is very exciting and it’s really refreshing to see Rengoku’s ancestor was the one who recruited him into the Corps. This chapter sets up a lot of similarities between Yoriichi and Tanjirou. It’s still fascinating how the Demon Slayers were able to endure without breathing techniques. Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 187: Yoriichi vs Muzan
From this chapter, there is one intriguing detail that perhaps reveals why Yoriichi was so mournful. He claimed that he could not defend the most valuable thing in his life so he was not capable. At first, we thought because he lost his brother to Muzan; however, he might be leading to his wife and unborn son. In Kimetsu no Yaiba chapter 187, we will get the continuation of this flashback.
Also, note the inconsistencies in his own retelling of his story and his brother. They were both so absorbed into each other’s feelings. Yoriichi desired a normal life but he could not, but Kokushibo cast away his quiet life to become like Yoriichi. The former moved down his fame naturally but the latter got nothing in the end despite losing everything.
That last page of this chapter had us hyped, now Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 187 will tell us precisely how Muzan escaped from Yoriichi? and what happened in their battle? Fans are looking forward to seeing why and how Muzan got away alive and how his cells got a traumatic experience from this fight.
There’s something more about Muzan that we don’t understand yet, and this unknown factor played a role in him enduring Yoriichi. Fans wanted to see a battle between Muzan and Yoriichi for a long time. Demon Slayer Chapter 187 won’t be the only epic but will apparently give Tanjirou a hint about this legendary and the lost 13th technique.
With each chapter that takes us closer to the conclusion, everyone is expecting more and more that we’ll get a whole spin-off prequel series so that we can keep reading more following the main series ends.
