Nanatsu no Taizai chapter 316: Sacred Treasure of Ban
After seeing what appeared in this chapter, I’m glad to see that Ban certainly has his sacred treasure and I’m clearly pointed to see him use it, although I really can’t stand the way in which he received it. I imply, I would’ve been fine if he had to actually recover it in some way, but for Merlin to just have it in her territory the whole time is such poor writing and I honestly don’t like it.
But other than that, the parts with Elizabeth whipping the DK around were pretty cool and I hope Meliodas will actually get that fight moving along a bit more.
Even if the Demon King is weakened, he still has enough confidence to stand up against Meliodas and have an encounter with him, and he knows how strong current Meliodas is. No matter how you look at it, the Demon King being slapped around and mocked by Human Elizabeth doesn’t make any sense, even if he’s weakened.
I want to believe that Nakaba wasn’t originally going to end the series like this, but realized there were still missing plot points to fill in and so put the ending on pause and he is rushing these points into the story.
I wonder exactly what Ban’s sacred treasure does. It was explained back at the beginning of the story that every sacred treasure gives a magic stat amp as a bare minimum, but every sacred treasure seems to have an additional power that works perfectly in sync with the Sin’s own magical ability. Hopefully, In Nanatsu no Taizai chapter 316 Nakaba will reveal how Ban’s Sacred treasure brings out his powers.
